The Wandering Colossus

I've been fortunate enough to live just a several minute drive from a local herd of bison, which has given me the opportunity to observe and visit them frequently. There's a reason bison are a popular subject of artists' work; they are a wonder to watch move across the pasture, truly larger than life. Though they no longer face extinction, there is still a lot of work to be done to overcome the challenges they face.
